Christos Deligiannis
Christos Deligiannis is a composer and producer, but not the type to fit easily into labels. His work is a journey across fretboards and keyboards, sometimes with purpose, other times simply for the enjoyment of wandering. Born in Athens, he spent the majority of his professional life in London. With a master’s degree in Audio Production from the University of Westminster, alongside studies in Sound Engineering and Business Administration, he effortlessly navigates between analog romance and digital precision.
He has scored music for films such as “Amnesia Diaries”,” J.A.C.E.”, “Free Subject” and “Trash”, as well as for international media like Al Jazeera, BBC and Discovery Channel. His music is dark and nostalgic, melodic yet subtly restless – like a desert just before sunset. He has also been nominated twice for Best Soundtrack by the Hellenic Film Academy, a testament to the depth and impact of his cinematic compositions.
He doesn’t chase perfection; he believes it’s the enemy of creativity.
At his personal studio, Itto Recordings, he creates music that doesn’t need to shout – but to take you on a journey. And when he’s not writing, he plays desert rock with his band, Weevil. His music, like the sea in Hemingway’s work, is not “el mar” but “la mar” – because you love “her”.
